Poetry & Spoken Word Open Mic Night with Greenwich Libraries
Calling all writers and poets, we need you! Are you interested in sharing your poetry with others? Looking for inspiration for poems of your own? Want a fun night out full of wordy, nerdy goodness?
As autumn closes in, Eltham Library’s team will be moving inside the Castle for a takeover of our beautiful first floor Lady James Room at Severndroog for their regular monthly open mic evening to the Castle! **Please note the Lady James Room is accessed via a spiral staircase, there is no lift at Severndroog Castle**
Friday 25th September
Door open & sign up at 6pm; Performances start at 6.30pm
Arrive early to toss your name in the hat for open mic slots. The Severndroog Tea Room will be open selling teas, coffees, cold snacks and wine.
Free parking facilities available at the nearby Castle Wood public car park; it will remain open for the duration of this event. Use SE18 3RU or What3Words drop.kicked.less to locate the car park from Shooters Hill A207
Do bring a torch for travel through the woods as pathways are unlit.
Dogs are not permitted at ticketed events at Severndroog Castle, assistance dogs excepted. Please get in touch if you are bringing an assistance dog to the performance, so we can support your visit.

By supporting events like this, you are personally helping to keep our castle open for the community to enjoy. Severndroog Castle is a small, independent charity which receives no regular funding, with every pound spent in the Tea Room we can continue to maintain and conserve the Castle for the generations to come.
