Severndroog Castle was saved by its community, and it’s run by its community. Our Community Partnership Programme is how local businesses and organisations become part of that story — by co-creating events that bring people together.

Just a shared belief that this place matters. We’re especially keen to create events that welcome those who don’t always feel welcomed — connecting people to community, to services, and to each other.

How it works

Share an idea

You approach us — or we approach you — with an event idea. Big or small, polished or half-formed. It all starts with a conversation.

Sponsored our Easter egg hunt and helped deliver it on the day — over 60 children and their families joined the fun. We are now working together on more community projects exploring the possibility of an event for older members of our community and Christmas ginger bread houses and lights at the Castle.

Eltham Library

From Craft tables at our VE Day and Easter celebrations to their much loved monthly Open Mic (spoken word) night held at the castle. This event is so successful we have offered the library a summer residency to bring the event back to the castle in 2027! We continue to explore events we can co-create for the enjoyment of the community.

Evergreen Care UK

Our new community partner, Evergreen is a local charity supporting people in later life to stay independent, connected and confident. We are in discussion about ways we can work jointly to support these goals, including the possibility of organising a Tea Dance in the Courtyard.
