Restoration
In 2003, having been derelict for decades, the building was saved from sale to private developers by a local campaign group. It was fully restored, and in 2014 opened to the public as a community building. The Castle is run by a Charitable Trust.
The Trust is very grateful to John A King for use of his photographs to illustrate this page. John’s photography has documented changes at Severndroog since the 1960s and his archive includes some of the best images of the restoration of the Castle in the 2010s
