Bank Holiday Roof Opening with Safe Sunspot Viewing
The sun is forecast to shine for Bank Holiday Monday (25th May) and, in the event of a sunny day, we will have a special opportunity for you. A couple of friends of the Castle will be bringing specialist solar equipment to the viewing platform. They will be offering visitors the opportunity for safe and fascinating view of the sun, including sunspots and other solar features.
Age 12+
The astronomers will be there from 12:30pm until 4:00pm (last admission 3:45pm), weather conditions permitting – check back on the website or our social media on Monday morning for the latest news. No advance booking, tickets ÂŁ5 from the Tea Room counter on the ground floor of the Castle; some queueing may occur at busy times.
Free parking facilities available at the nearby Castle Wood Car Park; it will remain open for the durationÂ
Dogs are not permitted at upstairs at Severndroog Castle, assistance dogs excepted. Please get in touch if you are bringing an assistance dog, so we can support your visit.Â
