The Hill Ensemble in the Lady James Room
We are delighted to welcome The Hill Ensemble for their first concert at Severndroog Castle on Friday 20th March 2026 at 7.30pm.
The Hill Ensemble is a versatile chamber group formed in late 2024 to explore chamber music repertoire in its different forms, with the founding members having previously performed together in the London music scene with ensembles for many years. Following on from early concerts in Essex and London, performing core string trio repertoire by Beethoven and Ernst von Dohnanyi, The Hill Ensemble are excited to now bring this programme of lesser-known string trio music from the British Isles to Severndroog Castle. Future projects planned for 2026 include a piano quartet collaboration with pianist Schay Wickham and concerts of string quartet music with violinist Lucy Hewson.
