Stargazing from the Severndroog Roof
Join us for the launch of these brand new evening events at Severndroog Castle, in association with the Flamsteed Astronomers Society.
Age 12+
Join the Flamsteed Astronomers on Wednesday 22 April, who will be bringing their smart scopes and telescopes up Shooters Hill and setting up on the Castle’s viewing platform. Your ticket includes 15 minutes up on the roof to view the smart scopes and telescopes plus 45 minutes access to the Williams James Room to view the live smart scope feed and meet the Flamsteed Astronomers who will be there to answer your questions, and have a hot drink (included in the price).
Tickets are £13 including booking fee and a hot drink. Very limited tickets for this event, so don’t delay.
Please dress warmly, as you will spend time outside on the viewing platform.
This event has two timeslots: 8.30-9.30 and 9.30-10.30. You can choose your preferred timeslot when you book your ticket (subject to availability); tickets will be valid for your booked timeslot only.
Free parking facilities available at the nearby Castle Wood Car Park; it will remain open for the duration of this event. Use SE18 3RU or What3Words drop.kicked.less to locate the car park from Shooters Hill A207
This is partially an outdoor event and will go ahead in most weather conditions, so please dress warmly.
Dogs are not permitted at ticketed events at Severndroog Castle, assistance dogs excepted. Please get in touch if you are bringing an assistance dog to the performance, so we can support your visit.
