Free talk in the Courtyard: Maritime Navigation

Join us on Saturday morning outside in the courtyard to delve into an aspect of Severndroog’s naval connections. Former Severndroog Castle volunteer Harry Robins will explore several centuries-old maritime navigation techniques, still used today by the mordern warships of the Royal Navy, in this free talk in the Castle Courtyard open to all.
Severndroog is delighted to welcome back Harry to the Castle. One of our youngest ever volunteers, he went on to become a trustee, raising a magnificent sum during the difficult days of the lockdown with a sponsored bike ride to Windsor Castle. Harry is now a Sub-Lieutenant in the Royal Navy. He joined as a Warfare Officer in 2023 and has since spent time on HMS Forth and HMS Somerset as a Second Officer of the Watch, learning skills required to earn his Navigational Watch Certificate.
This talk in the courtyard at Severndroog Castle is free to attend, but we encourage you to register your place.Â
