Danto Aya upstairs in the Lady James Room
Join us for the first of our late winter indoor music events upstairs in the Lady James Room at Severndroog Castle, with Danto Aya at 7.30pm on Friday 20 February 2026.
Tickets £17.50 including booking fee
Danto Aya is an indigenous Tuareg musician, singer, and songwriter, raised in a traditional nomadic Tuareg community where nature is understood as music and poetry. He blends Tuareg traditional lyrics with acoustic and electric guitar, creating songs that reflect the grievances of the Tuareg people, the destruction of culture, and the colonial borders that divided Tuareg families across new state lines. Since coming to the UK, Danto has been fortunate to perform with respected Irish musicians, including the acclaimed flute player Paul Daley, and has appeared on domestic and international stages.
This performance is upstairs in the Lady James Room at Severndroog Castle, accessed via a spiral staircase.
