The Quaggy River String Band South London’s finest Bluegrass/Old-Time band. A superbly talented group with the most authentic Bluegrass sound outside of the States . Banjo, upright bass, fiddle, guitar, brilliant vocals and more. The Quaggy River String Band are  a wonderful live music experience.

The Bus Stops (so named after the song by The Hollies but also because of ties to local band The 286) are 3 lead singers in one trio. Nathan Persad is known as a guitarist on the local scene but is the authentic 60s style drummer here, Spencer is The Face Of The 286 and Gary likely drove you somewhere on the 89 bus. Expect familiar and less overplayed 60s hit songs.

The Mooches This is a group in that vein of classic English groups who find beauty in the everyday, sprinkled over the top of cheery guitars and infectious melodies.  The Mooches have been wowing and winning over crowds in their native South London and way beyond for some time now. Their reputation as a great live act is firmly cemented.

The Blistered Mirrors Recognised as one of the best live acts around, Laurence O ‘n The Blistered Mirrors are now an integral part of the South London music scene,  with their original songs and special brand of musicality. This 7-piece band have already released their hugely rated eponymous 1st album and are now near to completion of their 2nd.  Original, unique and not to be missed.
Blackheath Creatives, as an organisation, started out as a small group of local artists and creatives who, upon taking on a short lease in shop premises in the heart of Blackheath, had the collective intention of  providing a fun, communal and vibrant space whereby artists could exhibit and actively interact with each other and the broader public, who were magnetically drawn to this all-inclusive, joyous new place. Art, furniture, ceramics, clothing, workshops and myriad offerings were available to purchase or just admire!

It exceeded all expectations and became so much more, as a host of musicians were also drawn to this space. ‘Open mic’ sessions were duly provided and the now legendary Blackheath Creatives festival evolved into something quite special . Even a fully powered stage was built in the garden area and festival days were a whirlwind of musicians, stalls, face painting,  dancing, and the best cakes in London being bought and consumed from our fabulous in-store cafe!

Leases end, but Blackheath Creatives as an organisation does not. Now concentrating on special one off events, craft fairs, Christmas fairs, music festivals and special multi business events in the area, we look to provide special, unique occasions and in this spirit, we are thrilled to be working with the lovely people at Severndroog Castle, at this wonderful, iconic location, to bring to you an evening of music, with some of our many, super talented local musicians. Your constant support fuels our passion to  keep putting on these events, so thank you all.
