DESCRIPTION:Calling all writers and poets\, we need you! Are you interested
  in sharing your poetry with others? Looking for inspiration for poems of y
 our own? Want a fun night out full of wordy\, nerdy goodness?\nDuring renov
 ation work on their building\, Eltham Library's team will takeover the cour
 tyard at Severndroog and bring their regular monthly open mic evening to th
 e Castle!\nFriday 26 June 2026\nGate open & sign up at 6pm\; Performances s
 tart at 6.30pm\nArrive early to toss your name in the hat for open mic slot
 s. The Severndroog Tea Room will be open selling teas\, coffees\, snacks an
 d wine.\nTickets are free\, but advance booking is essential.\n \nWhat par
 ticipants said about May's Open Mic in the Castle  courtyard: "My first ti
 me in the audience really enjoyed all the poets! Thanks!"\, "Beautiful ❤ 
 really good\, I will come again\, thank you so much for hosting a fabulous 
 event we loved it!"\, "Lovely location the poetry styles were amazing\, gre
 at talent ❤"\, "A very enjoyable night such a variety of talent in a beau
 tiful setting\, I have learned tonight that poetry is more than just words 
 on paper thank you"\n\nTicket does not include viewing platform\, food or d
 rinks. Only food and drink purchased on site may be consumed during the eve
 nt.\nFree parking facilities available at the nearby Castle Wood public car
  park\; it will remain open for the duration of this event. Use SE18 3RU or

 \nThis is an outdoor event and will go ahead in almost all weathers\, so p
 lease dress for the weather.\nDogs are not permitted at ticketed events at
  Severndroog Castle\, assistance dogs excepted. Please get in touch if you 
 are bringing an assistance dog to the performance\, so we can support your 
 visit.\nBy supporting events like this\, you are personally helping to keep
  our castle open for the community to enjoy. Severndroog Castle is a small\
 , independent charity which receives no regular funding\, with every pound 
 spend in the Tea Room we can continue to maintain and conserve the Castle f
 or the generations to come.\n\n\n
